  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. English Teachers Hold Annual Workshop In Awka



The English Language Teachers Association of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter is holding its annual workshop in Awka.

The teachers from primary and secondary schools, drawn from across Anambra state converged on the premises of Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board,ASUBEB, for the workshop.

In a paper presentation titled "Grammar Content in English Language Teaching in Contemporary Times",a retired Head of Department, Schools and Education Quality Assurance Department, Awka Zone,Mr Benson Ibe, proposed to the Association to take up the issue of the revision of grammar they present to students to be in line with prevailing global practice.

He also suggested that the association should set up a committee at the national level to do this and make recommendations to the government on English Language curriculum of the nation.
