 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. FHC REMANDED THE AGF AND OTHERS TO KUJE PRISON.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.

Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja has remanded the Accountant- General of the Federation, AGF, Ahmed Idris and two others to Kuje Prison. Trial adjourned to Wednesday, July 27, 2022 for hearing and determination of bail application. More details later.

Alleged N109bn Fraud: Court Remands Ex-AGF Idris in Prison

Justice A. O. Adeyemi Ajayi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama Abuja, remanded the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris and his co-defendants: Godfrey Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Kudu Usman in Kuje Correctional Centre pending the determination of their bail applications.

The trio were arraigned alongside a company, Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited, on a 14-count charge bordering on gratification, abuse of office and money laundering to the tune of over N109 billion fraud.
