Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing. GOV. UZODIMMA CHARGES SOUTHEAST APC PARTY STAKEHOLDERS ON FLAWLESS WIN TOWARDS 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS


The Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma has charged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on a flawless win in the upcoming 2023 General Elections.

His Excellency stated this during the APC South East Zonal Stakeholders' meeting held today, at Rockview Hotels Owerri with notable party stalwarts from the region in attendance.

Speaking one after the other, the leaders expressed conviction of victory at the poll and encouraged all party faithful to form a united front ahead of the 2023 General Elections.

Among other Party Chairmen and Leaders who spoke, the Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), McDonald Ebere Ph.D, outlined the numerous giant strides of the Shared Prosperity Government, their strategies as well as the achievements of the party on ground.

He further stressed the need to focus the campaign on purposeful governance to the people.
