 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Gov Abiodun reassures foreign investors in Ogun

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has reassured foreign investors of a conducive environment for the growth of their investments in the State

The Governor gave the assurance while receiving in audience the management team of a multinational company, Apple and Pears said his Administration is determined to ensure that Ogun State maintains its status as an investment destination of first choice in the country.

“We have put in place investment friendly policies and programmes, including a stong security architecture for us continue to attract investment into our State”, the Governor said, adding that “we will do everything necessary to keep investors happy in Ogun State.

Gov. Abiodun thanked the team led by its Chairman, Habib Jaafar for the company’s current investment in the State and for its corporate social responsibilities, especially at the Gateway City Monument at the Sagamu interchange. 

Earlier Mr. Jaafar, while briefing the Governor on the purpose of his team’s visit express delight at the various policies and programmes put in place to attract investment into the State. 

He informed the Governor of the readiness of Apple and Pears to expand its investment portfolio in the state and to also facilitate other investors to come to the State, Jaafar was accompanied on the visit by Group Managing Director, Mr Shekhar Ghate and Managing Director Ali Hasbini.
