 RE: MISLEADING CLAIMS REGARDING EXTORTION OF MOTORISTS BY LAGOS STATE TASKFORCE – YET-TO-BE-IDENTIFIED SECURITY OPERATIVES: ANOTHER CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY The Lagos State Taskforce wishes to address a misleading narrative circulating on social media, particularly in a viral video shared by protesters and concerned groups who recently demonstrated at the Lagos State House of Assembly. The protest was in response to the alleged extortion of motorists by security operatives, yet to be identified, who are not officials of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit. We categorically state that the Lagos State Taskforce had no involvement in the said incident. My Birthday Will Be Private, To Be Celebrated With The Sick, Less Privileged -- Mrs Soludo



Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo says her birthday will be private and celebrated with the less privileged and sick people at hospitals.

Mrs Soludo, who stated this ahead of her tomorrow, July 31, 2022, birth's anniversary, explained that it would give her better satisfaction and contentment, knowing that she used God's privilege to her to touch those in need.

Explaining the schedule for the private event, the governor's wife noted that she will attend a Mass to thank God for the gift of a new phase, after which she will depart for randomly selected hospitals and orphanages, to spend some time with the people in both places.

While asking Ndi Anambra, especially the women, to keep her in their prayers Mrs Soludo prayed God to sustain his blessings upon Anambra State, her husband's administration and her family.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
