 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.  PRESIDENT BUHARI MOURNS ADETIRAN, COMPOSER OF NYSC ANTHEM


President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with the Adetiran family, their friends and associates on the passage of an accomplished musicologist, Assistant Venerable Oluwole Isaac Adetiran, who passed on at 75.

 

The President urges the family to take solace in the quality of life lived by the departed, having left his footprints on the sands of time as composer of the NYSC Anthem, sung round the country, and inspiring innumerable youths.

 

President Buhari prays God to rest the soul of the former Head, Department of Music, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Director of Music, Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, and holder of the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) National Award.

 

He charges the younger generation to learn lessons from the devotion of the departed to both secular and spiritual things, and excelling in all.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
