 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Three arrested for rape and forceful initiation of a 15-year-old girl to cult group

Men of Ogun State police command on June 30 arrested three members of the dreaded Eiye confraternity, who forcefully initiated a young girl (name withheld) into their cult group after they allegedly gang-raped her.

A statement released by DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesperson of the state police command, said the suspects, Daniel Njoku a.k.a Agege, Damilare Ogundiran, and Adebayo Olamilekan, were arrested following a report lodged at Ajuwon divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim, who reported that she sent her 15 years old daughter on an errand at Akute Odo area, but was waylaid on the road by Daniel Njoku, who forcefully took her to his gang at their hideout where the young girl was gang-r@ped, beaten and forcefully initiated into Eiye cult group.

The complainant further explained that her daughter was threatened by the suspects that she will be k!lled if she dare inform anybody about the incident.

''Upon the report, the DPO Ajuwon division, SP Andrew Akinseye detailed his detectives to go after the hoodlums. The team, acting on a credible intelligence located the hideout of the group at Akute odo area, stormed the place and succeeded in arresting three members of the gang.

The suspects have confessed to the commission of the crime, they informed the police that they were desperately looking for more members to join their group especially female members, and that was what prompted them to do what they did.''the spokesperson said

Meanwhile, the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to anti-cultists section of the state criminal investigation department for discreet investigation.
