 NIGERIAN ARMY NEUTRALISE IPOB/ESN OPERATIVES, RECOVER ARMS AND IEDS IN ANAMBRA Troops of Sector 5, Joint Task Force South-East Operation UDO KA, in conjunction with sister services and other security agencies, have recorded a major operational success against members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), in Anambra State. Acting on credible intelligence on armed criminals reportedly masquerading in military camouflage and Nigeria Police uniforms to perpetrate violent attacks, the joint security team swiftly mobilised and tracked the suspects along the Ogboji–Ajali axis in Orumba South Local Government Area on 23 June 2026. The suspects were intercepted while moving in a white Toyota Sienna vehicle, leading to a fierce firefight during which three ESN operatives were neutralised. Zamfara Install Wanted Terrorist As Emir

For installing bandits’ kingpin, Ado Aleiro as Sarkin Fulanin Yandoto in Zamfara State, a Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain in Birnin Gwari Local government area of Kaduna State, Ibrahim Musa Yakodo, on Sunday said the Zamfara State government has proven that banditry and other forms of terrorist attacks across the country, originated from the state.

According to source, a bandits’ kingpin known as Ado Aleiro was on Saturday turbaned as the Sarkin Fulanin Yandoto by the Yandoton Daji Emirate of Zamfara State.

Ado Alero has reportedly led attacks on many villages.

From what happened yesterday, the installation of a criminal, who has killed several innocent souls, and the government sees no one else good enough or worthy enough to bring in, then the suffering of Nigerians will continue.” He said
