  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. 35 Kidnap Victims Regain Freedom In Kaduna

Thirty-five persons kidnapped at Keke ‘B’ Millennium City in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, have regained their freedom.

The victims, kidnapped about three weeks ago from their houses by bandits, were released by their abductors on Friday night after a payment of N2.5 million as ransom.

Meanwhile, one of the kidnap victims is still in captivity because his family was unable to meet the bandits’ demand of two motorcycles for his release.

Similarly, another kidnapped Doctor and 15 others, including women and children from Sabon Gero community also in Chikun local government area of the State, have also regained their freedom.

The leader of the Civilian JTF in the community, Uwasu Yunusa, confirmed the development to journalists in Kaduna, adding that no ransom was paid for their release.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
