 Chawai Community Appeals To Gov. Uba Sani For Relief, Medical Support After Deadly Kauru Attack The people of Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide urgent relief and medical assistance to victims of the deadly attack on Naridon village in Kamaru Ward. In an open letter addressed to the governor, the community commended his leadership, describing his administration as inclusive and fair. They said this had given residents confidence that every community in the state is valued. The community, however, expressed concern over what it described as the lack of government intervention following the attack on Naridon village, in which it said 30 people were killed. According to the letter, many survivors and families of the victims are still struggling with grief, trauma, displacement, and the challenges of caring for those injured in the attack. 35 Kidnap Victims Regain Freedom In Kaduna

Thirty-five persons kidnapped at Keke ‘B’ Millennium City in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, have regained their freedom.

The victims, kidnapped about three weeks ago from their houses by bandits, were released by their abductors on Friday night after a payment of N2.5 million as ransom.

Meanwhile, one of the kidnap victims is still in captivity because his family was unable to meet the bandits’ demand of two motorcycles for his release.

Similarly, another kidnapped Doctor and 15 others, including women and children from Sabon Gero community also in Chikun local government area of the State, have also regained their freedom.

The leader of the Civilian JTF in the community, Uwasu Yunusa, confirmed the development to journalists in Kaduna, adding that no ransom was paid for their release.
