 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. Health Ministry Rescues Two Auto Crash Victims 

Two persons involved in a road accident that occurred at the Amawbia flyover axis of Enugu --Onitsha expressway have been rescued by a team from the State Ministry of Health Ambulance Service.
The accident which occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 25tth August 2022 was attributed to reckless driving by a driver of an articulated vehicle resulting to a head collision with another truck with yet to be identified registration number.

One of the drivers of the articulated vehicles sustained a severe injury and was rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka, where he is currently receiving treatment while the second driver is relatively stable.

Although,the identities of the victims have not been ascertained, an eyewitness said the accident was caused by loss of control by one of the drivers.

Another eyewitness, Mr. Emeka Okeke hailed the timely intervention of the Ambulance Service from the state ministry of Health which conveyed the victims to hospital for proper medical examination.

Mr. Okeke also thanked Gov. Charles Soludo for providing the Ministry of Health with a Mobile Ambulance that's not corpse carrying for emergencies.
