 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. ANAMBARA MAN DONATES $1 MILLION DOLLARS TO UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN


The acting Dean of Medical College, University of Ibadan,Prof Adebola Ogunbiyi held Zoom meeting with former students of the medical college.

The acting Dean of the college ended her speech by appealing to the alumni of the college to support her in rebuilding and restoring the lost glory of the medical college.

The donations were coming in trickles.

1 million naira here... 200,000 there.

Until it got to the turn of Dr. Philip O. Ozuah (attached in the picture), an old student of the college who is currently the President and CEO of Montefiore Medicine in New York.

Philip Ozuah did not say too much as he went straight to the point of making a donation of $1,000,000 (700,000,000).

In his words, UI’s medical college shaped and refined him into the man he is today, so he has the duty to give back to the school.

Dr. Ozuah is from Anambara state.
