 I’ll never support Peter Obi's presidential ambition - Seyi Law Popular stand-up comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, also known as Seyi Law has vowed never to support the presidential ambition of former Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.   In an interview on Tejubabyface show, Seyi Law attributed his reasons to Obi's failure to call the Obidient movement to order, particularly after its supporters allegedly attacked his wife and children due to his support for President Bola Tinubu. Seyi Law expressed deep resentment, stating that the attack on his family crossed a boundary that makes forgiveness impossible.  He emphasised that Peter Obi's refusal to admit and reprimand the Obidients for their actions solidifies his decision.  Seyi Law said: “I don’t feel down at all because when you talk too much, I swear for you. ARMY FIGHTING PATROL NEUTRALIZE BANDIT IN KADUNA


A fighting patrol led by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja accompanied by a team of Operational commanders and operatives have cleared bandits in Buruku, Udawa, Manini, Birnin Gwari, Doka, Maganda, Kuyello and Dogon Dawa communities in Kaduna state, while on a fighting patrol on Monday 29 August 2022. In the fire fight that ensued during the engagements, the patrol team overpowered the bandits with superior fire power neutralizing, one of them, while three others were captured alive, as some of the criminal elements escaped with gunshot wounds. The Patrol team also recovered one AK 47 rifle, 27 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition and 18 Motorcycles.  

Members of the public, particularly health facilities and paramedics are please urged to watch out for persons who may be seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds and please report to relevant security agencies.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
