 NLC backs new SSG Chiamaka Nnake, Seeks Workers Welfare  By Ukpa Ewa  The Organized Labour in Anambra State has pledged support to the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, while urging her to place the interest of Anambra and workers’ welfare at the forefront of her administration. The labour delegation, led by Comrade Humphrey Emeka Nwafor of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Comrade Chris Ogbonna of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), paid a courtesy visit to the new SSG at the Light House in Awka. Speaking during the visit, Comrade Nwafor said the office of the SSG plays a key role in government labour relations and called on Mrs. Nnake to ensure Anambra workers are given due attention in government affairs. He also congratulated her on becoming the first female SSG in the state at a young age, describing her appointment as historic. BAUCHI STATE POLICE COMMAND ARRESTED TWO VIGILANTES FOR RAPE AT GUNPOINT


 CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION AND RAPE.

Police detectives attached to Ningi Division receive distress swung into action and arrested two suspects for the above offences, namely;
Lawali Sule ‘m’ aged 30yrs  
Babangida Shehu ‘m’ aged 30yrs all of Dogon-ruwa village.

On 25th Augst, 2022 at about 0200hrs the two suspects conspired among themselves and stormed the house of one Alhaji Gare, all armed with Dane-gun broke into his wife's room one Hadiza Alhaji (not real name) and asked her husband we're about, but he was not at home. Thereafter they threatened her with a gun with the view to have canal knowledge of her and she succumbed out of fear.

A discreet investigation commenced in earnest  The victim was evacuated to the general hospital Ningi for medical examination and confirmed the penetration.

 During the investigation, the suspects voluntary confessed to the crime.

The exhibits recovered from the suspects:
Two Dane-guns.

The CP directed that the suspects be charged to court.

 RAPE:

In another development on 24 August 2022 at about 1100rs one Mato Yohannah ‘m’ 27yrs of Jimbin Village, Ganjuwa LGA was arrested by the detectives of Ganjuwa Divisional headquarters after he had canal knowledge with one (sara Ezra), not real name  ‘f’ 3yrs old of Jimbin village, Ganjuwa LGA.

During the investigation, the suspect confessed to having raped minors for the second time.
Equally, the suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.
