 EASTER SECURITY ASSESSMENT: ANAMBRA POLICE EXPRESS CONCERN OVER MASKED SECURITY PERSONNEL PROTECTING VIPs, WARN OF SECURITY RISKS The Anambra State Police Command has expressed serious concern over the growing trend of some security operatives concealing their identities while providing protection to Very Important Personalities (VIPs) within the State. The Command notes that while security duties often require tactical discretion, the act of masking identities without proper authorization raises significant security concerns. Such practices, it observed, not only pose a potential threat to public safety but also undermine trust, accountability, and the integrity of inter-agency collaboration. Fake army captain who poses as a modeling agent to rob female models apprehended in Lagos

Detectives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a fake Army Captain, Andy Teddy Edwards, ‘m’ aged 39 for armed robbery.
  
The fake soldier, who poses as a modeling agent, would invite ladies for auditioning and then rob them of their cars and valuables at gunpoint. He was arrested following a painstaking investigation that was launched after one of his victims reported the robbery of her Lexus RX330 SUV. 

Items recovered from him include one Ford Edge SUV with registration number KRD 276 EG, one sewing machine, one POS machine with six SIM cards, two pairs of military camouflage uniform, and one number plate - AFL 469 GD, in the suspect’s house. 

Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, says investigation is ongoing and has called on the owner of the Ford SUV to come forward to claim it. He added that the suspect would be arraigned at the conclusion of the investigation.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
