 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. Gov. Ugwuanyi decorates his ADC, Peter Nnadozie, as Superintendent of Police (SP)

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, on Thursday, decorated his Aide-de-camp (ADC), Peter Nnadozie, following his promotion to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) by the Police Service Commission (PSC) as recommended by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman.

The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Abubakar Lawal assisted Gov. Ugwuanyi in performing the symbolic exercise, while the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Force CID Annex, Enugu, DCP Fidelis Ogarabe and the Commissioner of Police, Force CID Annex, Taiwo Jesubiyi observed the event, held at the Government House, Enugu.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
