  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. Ifeanyi Ubah Felicitates With Chicason Boss As He Gives Out Daughter In Marriage 

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah on Saturday, joined families and friends of the Chief Executive Officer of CHICASON Group of Companies, Dr. Chika Okafor to celebrate his daughter Mmesoma as she begins her journey in marriage. 

Speaking briefly at the epic event which took place at the Monarch Event Centre Lekki, Lagos State, Senator Ubah congratulated the new couple and prayed God to grant them wisdom, guidance and protection as they are joined together as husband and wife.

Senator Ubah who was accompanied to the event by some of his friends thanked God for HIS blessings upon the Okafor family and urged the new couple to always put God first in all their endeavors.

Also present at the event were the Governor of Lagos State, Governor Sanwolu , former Governor of Imo State Rt.   SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
