 EFCC Arraigns Austrian For Undeclared $800,585, €651,505 At Lagos Airport The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, Okotie Eboh, Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, January 9, 2026, arraigned one  Kavlak Onal, an Austrian national arrested by the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, for allegedly failing to declare the sums of $800,575 and €651,505 in his possession. He was arraigned before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi , Lagos.  Onal who was scheduled to travel on Emirates Airline to Dubai, was on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 intercepted  during a routine check at the AML/ CFT Currency Declaration Desk at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.

IVM: GOVERNOR UZODIMMA EXPRESS SUPPORT FOR LOCAL CONTENTS 


Governor Hope Uzodimma has stated that the Imo State Government's contract with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) for the supply of various brands of their products, was in the spirit of support and promotion of local content.

His Excellency stated this yesterday, while fielding questions from the press after his meeting with the Managing Director of Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC).

According to His Excellency, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) reneged on an agreement it entered with the State Government for the establishment of a Technical Service Workshop Center in Imo State, for the servicing of the supplied vehicles. 

IVM non-compliance to the contract has led to the grounding of over 70% of the supplied vehicles. However, the Governor stated that the State Government is open for resolution of the difference for the interest of both party but he will not indulge in mismanagement of public funds.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
