Ogun State Approves N16.5M for Sports Associations Ahead of NSF Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved N16.5 million to support 33 sports associations as they prepare for the 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF), set to hold from May 16 to 30 in the state. Announcing this at the June 12 Cultural Center, Abeokuta, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tokunbo Talabi, stated that each association would receive N500,000, emphasizing that the funds are meant strictly for athlete preparations. He also noted that a monitoring mechanism would be put in place to ensure accountability and sustainability. Talabi encouraged state athletes to develop unique team war songs to boost morale, similar to international sports teams.
