 ABUJA EARTH TREMOR: MINISTER DELE ALAKE CALLS FOR CALM, DIRECTS AGENCY TO REPORT UPDATES The minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake has directed the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency to provide hourly updates of the seismic developments around Abuja to him for regular review and possible escalation to other relevant agencies, Urging residents of the Federal Capital to go about their normal routine without anxiety. In a statement by the Special Assistant on Media, Lara Owoeye-Wise, the minister assures that proactive measures have been deployed to ensure the safety of residents and property. The minor earth tremor was noticed on Tuesday, August 4th at 11am in the Federal Capital Territory by the Nigerian Geological survey Agency.

POLICE RECOVERS ONE ABANDONED VEHICLE, ONE LIVE AK47 AMMUNITION AND SOME CRIMINAL MASK


_as Operatives intensify patrol and improved operational positioning to respond to distress calls in the State_

Anambra State Police Operatives on 29/8/2022 at about 3pm, while on patrol along Amaokpala-Awgbu highway recovered one abandoned black Mercedes 4matic ML 350 jeep with Reg No Abuja RBC 527 AL, one Ak47 live ammunition and some criminal mask. 

Preliminary information shows that the vehicle is suspected to have been snatched by criminal elements who had an accident on their way to yet unidentified location. The Armed robbers abandon the vehicle inside a gutter and fled the scene. 

Meanwhile, Police Operatives have intensify patrol in the area aimed at apprehending the criminal elements. The Command also invites anyone or group looking for such vehicle as highlighted above, to come to Anambra State Police Command Awka, with a valid proof/evidence of ownership for scrutiny and possible collection please.
