 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. Troops foil kidnap, rescue three in Chikun LGA

Troops of Operation Forest Sanity foiled a kidnap attempt in the Ungwan Madaki general area of Chikun local government. 

This was reported to the Kaduna State Government in an operational feedback following the rescue mission in response to a distress call from the area. 

According to the report, the troops arrived the area and engaged the bandits, forcing them to flee and abandon their victims. Three victims were rescued by the troops: Elkanah Eli, along with his daughter, and one Mr Yahaya. 

The Kaduna State Government received the feedback with gratitude and praised the troops for their swift response and the successful rescue. 

The victims have been reunited with their families.
