  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. Funeral Service Holds For Late Biafran War Hero, Gen. Madiebo



The remains of the the late Biafran War Hero, General Alexander Atta Madiebo have been ushered into Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Umuokpu Awka, venue for the funeral Service.

Within and outside the church premises, security agencies which include the military,police, road safety officials were stationed strategically to give the needed security to the event.

People from all walks of life,   the deceased's survivors and extended family members were also present to give their last respects to the departed general.
