 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. 9th REGULAR INTAKE NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY: NOTICE OF PHYSICAL AND CREDENTIAL SCREENING EXERCISE .


The Lagos State Police Command wishes to inform applicants who successfully completed their online application for the 9th Regular Course intake of the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano that physical and credentials screening exercise has been scheduled to hold as follows:

Venue: Police College, Ikeja, Lagos.
Date: Monday, September 26th, 2022 - Saturday, October 1st, 2022, 
Time: 0800hrs daily. 

All applicants must come along with the following mandatory basic screening requirements:

1.Evidence of physical/ mental fitness from a government recognized Medical Hospital.

2.Evidence of good character from Village/ District Head of applicant. 

3.Indigeneship certificate by Local Government Chairman or Secretary 

4.National Identification Number (NIN) Slip 

5. Original and duplicate copies of credentials — O' Level Result(s)

6. Birth Certificate /Declaration of Age 

7. Jamb result print out/Printout of Application form 

8.Duly completed Guarantor's form/Invitation Slip

Any applicants who fail to present items mentioned above (1-8) will not be considered for the screening.
