 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. ANAMBRA STATE CHIEF OF STAFF MR. ERNEST EZEAJIGHI & OTHERS VISITED FLOOD RAVAGED COMMUNITIES IN OGBARU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.


Yesterday 24th Sept. 2022; Chief of Staff to Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi in company of the Commissioner for Environment Engr. Felix Odimegwu, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs Hon Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, and State Chairman of SEMA Sir. Paul Odenigbo visited flooded communities in Odekpe, Ogbaru Local Government Area.

Addressing the members of the communities, the Chief of staff Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi said that they came for preliminary investigations and assessment according to directive of Mr. Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo who is presently out of the state for other official engagements in Abuja.

Mr Ezeajughi continued that as a proactive government that is sensitive to the plight of the community suffering this natural disaster, Mr Governor will do everything possible and will work closely with the Federal Government and NEMA to get the necessary support for the community.

He reassured the community that SEMA/NEMA will come within two weeks to do a detailed assessment because according to the TC Chairman; Mr Aniegbunam Pascal, what they have seen is just a tip of an iceberg, not only in Ogbaru but also in Anambra East, Anambra West and Ayamelum Local Government Areas.

Mr Ezeajughi concluded that the first action plan is to put necessary things in place to make the IDPs functional.

Responding to the govt entourage; HRH Igwe Chukwuma Onyia thank Governor Soludo for being proactive and sensitive to the plight of the community.

The APGA House Reps Candidate for Ogbaru Federal Constituency and former TC Chairman of Ogbaru LGA; Hon Arinze Awogu also was among those that received the state govt representatives.
