 NPF MODERNIZES OPERATIONAL FLEET WITH SUPPORT FROM NPF-TF AND PI-CNG, SETS PATH FOR GREEN ENERGY TRANSITION In a significant step toward sustainable policing and enhanced operational efficiency, the Nigeria Police Force, on 21st April 2026, received three specialized buses from the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPF-TF) and the Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (PI-CNG & EV). The ceremony marks the official commencement of the transition toward green energy within the Nigeria Police Force. The event was attended by a distinguished delegation from the NPF-TF, including Executive Secretary Mohammad Sheidu, CP Tony Emafale, Alhaji Sanusi Aliyu, QS Lawal Aliyu, and Oritsemi Banigo. COAS COMMISSIONS 1000 CAPACITY TOWN HALL PROJECT IN AFIJIO


The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has today Friday 9 September, 2022 commissioned a 1000 capacity Town Hall at Akinmoorin in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, as part of the Civil Military Cooperation efforts of the Nigerian Army (NA).

The COAS, in his remarks at the commissioning ceremony said the Nigerian Army under his watch will continue to give back to the society in recognition of the cooperation and support enjoyed from them towards actualizing its constitutional mandate. He urged them to sustain the peace and harmony he witnessed in the community for the progress and development of Oyo state and the nation at large, adding, that the edifice should be utilized for the collective good of the community.               

Gen Yahaya also seized the opportunity to commend the loyalty of officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army for their service and sacrifices in defending the nation, charging them to remain committed in the ongoing fight against security challenges in the country.

In his welcome address, the project executor, who is the Chief of Operations (Army), Major General Olufemi Akinjobi, an indigene of Akinmoorin community, stated that the successful completion and commissioning of the project is a remarkable landmark in Akinmoorin Kingdom. He noted that the project is part of the COAS' special intervention project and the dream of the community, which had remained elusive for thirty two years. Gen Akinjobi appreciated the COAS for the honour done to the  Kingdom by approving and personally commissioning the project. He assured of the community’s support in the realization of the COAS' vision, progress, peace and development of the country.

The event was attended by principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters, Corps Commanders, General Officers Commanding (GOC) 2 and 81 Divisions, Heads of Security Agencies, the Amoorin of Akinmoorin, His Royal Highness, Oba Solomon Iyiola Akinyemi, Oyo State Government functionaries, Retired military officers and members of the Nigerian Army Officers' Wives Association (NAOWA) among other dignitaries.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
