 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. FINDING IRETI, a family drama scheduled to run in cinemas across the nation is another fine piece by the prolific Actor-producer.

“I believe in doing things intentionally in a modest way setting the pace to thrill our viewers and encourage aspiring stars". - said, the TGMAAN President, Saidi Balogun 

The star studded movie was produced to drive a wonderful message to the public and also to encourage the Nigerian youths by giving them platform in the movie world.

“The movie also featured his biological children, Jamal and Zinat Balogun alongside others such as Sewa Otunla, Chidera Orji, Ninalowo, Samuel Olasehinde, Ronke Ojo, Mustapha Solagbade, Benedict Johnson, Kelvin Ikeduba, Funky Mallam, Musiliu Dasofunjo, Laide Bakare, Kule Coker, Baba Fawaz, Babakola Olaiya and his humble self amongst others.

Balogun further stressed that the movie teaches the mutual role parents and children has to play to make our society an habitable one for all

FINDING IRETI is now available in Cinemas nationwide from the 16th of September, 2022.

The movie was written by Spicy Boss and Shefinat Musuuro, directed by Saidi Balogun and Saheed Bolaji Oscar.
