 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. GOVT ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO ACTIVITIES OF KOGI PASTOR WHO SELLS 'BULLETPROOF' WATER


     
The Chairman of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has ordered security agencies to carry out full investigation into the activities of a self-proclaimed man of God, Peter Michonza.

The presiding pastor of “New Jerusalem church” located within Ageva axis of Okene went viral on social media over allegations of running labour wards for pregnant women in his church and selling “bulletproof” water to the people, amongst other medically unacceptable practices which have reportedly led to the death of many. 

Michonza and members of his church also held a protest rally in Okene, calling for the release of International Musician, R kelly who was recently jailed over child pornography and rape allegations.

A press statement issued by Abdulmumin Abubakar, the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Media & Publicity, said the directive for investigation became necessary “after some of his alleged ungodly activities were published on social media by concerned members of the public.”

“The council chairman appreciates people for blowing the whistle and exposing the alleged atrocities of Mr Peter in the name of church activities, noting that details of the investigation will be made public in due course.” the statement added.
