 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. GOVT ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO ACTIVITIES OF KOGI PASTOR WHO SELLS 'BULLETPROOF' WATER


     
The Chairman of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has ordered security agencies to carry out full investigation into the activities of a self-proclaimed man of God, Peter Michonza.

The presiding pastor of “New Jerusalem church” located within Ageva axis of Okene went viral on social media over allegations of running labour wards for pregnant women in his church and selling “bulletproof” water to the people, amongst other medically unacceptable practices which have reportedly led to the death of many. 

Michonza and members of his church also held a protest rally in Okene, calling for the release of International Musician, R kelly who was recently jailed over child pornography and rape allegations.

A press statement issued by Abdulmumin Abubakar, the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Media & Publicity, said the directive for investigation became necessary “after some of his alleged ungodly activities were published on social media by concerned members of the public.”

“The council chairman appreciates people for blowing the whistle and exposing the alleged atrocities of Mr Peter in the name of church activities, noting that details of the investigation will be made public in due course.” the statement added.
