  NINE PEOPLE ARRESTED AS CULT CLASH ROCKS BENUE BURIAL CEREMONY  PAt least nine suspected cult members have been arrested after a violent clash disrupted a burial ceremony in Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident reportedly led to the destruction of homes and valuables, with several individuals still unaccounted for. Tension gripped parts of Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State after a violent clash involving suspected cult groups left properties destroyed and several persons missing. The incident occurred in Abenga, Mbakya, and Mbabur communities during the burial of one Dugeri Terhemen, popularly known as “Black Deal.” According to local sources, the burial ceremony was disrupted by clashes between rival groups, leading to chaos in the affected areas. Court remands singer Ice Prince in Ikoyi prison

A magistrate court sitting in the Ajah area of Lagos has ordered the remand of hip-hop recording artist, Ice Prince Zamani at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre.

IcePrince was arrested earlier today for allegedly assaulting an officer and threatening to throw him in the river after he was arrested for driving without plate numbers.

The Lagos State Police Command arraigned the singer on a three-count charge of assault, obstructing a policeman from carrying out his statutory duties and abduction. When the counts were read to him, he pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Taiwo Oyaniyi subsequently granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 and is also to provide the court with two responsible sureties. The Magistrate ordered that he be remanded in the correctional center until he fulfills his bail condition. He then adjourned further proceedings in the case till September 7.

At 3am today, "Ice Prince Zamani" was stopped for driving without license plates.

He agreed to be taken to the station.

He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river.

He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.
