 The family of a disabled Plano, Texas student are alleging she was abused by a Plano independent school district teacher. The terrible actions taken by the teacher are absolutely appalling.  Saniyah Nelson is a senior at Plano high-school.  Saniyah was diagnosed with the rare genetic disorder GRIN syndrome, this syndrome has left Saniyah completely disabled. As a result Saniyah needs personal care with everything from feeding to diaper changes. Saniyah's mother, Lestia, said she started noticing things that concerned her when Saniyah would arrive home from school. She shared, "Saniyah would come home with bloody diaper rashes and the school had also changed her to a liquid diet without informing the family." This caused Saniyah to lose 10 to 15 lbs! NIGER POLICE ARRESTED A SUSPECTED INFORMANT IN CONNECTION WITH THE KIDNAPPING OF FOUR VICTIMS, KILLING TWO IN RAFI LGA


In a continued effort of the Niger State Police Command to rid the state of banditry, kidnapping and other criminalities. The Command arrested seven suspects for various offences including an informant in connection with the kidnapping of four victims and killing of two among the victims in Tegina, Rafi LGA.   

It would be recalled that on 14/11/2021 at about 2000hrs, suspected armed bandits invaded Tegina town, Rafi LGA shooting sporadically and abducted four persons into Kagara forest which include one Aminu Garba and others.

Upon the receipt of this information, the Command mobilized and drafted a combined team of tactical squad comprised of Anti-Kidnapping Unit, FIB tactical squad and vigilante members to the area.

Consequently, as a result of the sustained operational pressure on the hoodlums, two victims later escaped from the abductors, while the remaining two others were still in captivity including the said Aminu Garba.

Unfortunately, the remaining two victims, i.e Aminu Garba and one other were killed by the kidnappers after collecting a ransom of thirteen million naira. However, on 29/08/2022, based on technical intelligence, one Nasiru Musa aged 30yrs ‘m’ of Tegina was arrested within Tegina town in connection with the crime.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to have conspired with one Lelwi presently at large who connected him with one Gwaskan-Daji also at large and several others to kidnap the victims and collected the ransom. He claimed that he benefitted two hundred thousand naira only from the crime proceed and he was also planning to kidnap the Council Chairman of Rafi LGA before his arrest. Case under investigation.

ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS ARMS DEALER/SUPPLIER TO BANDITS.

On 20/08/2022 at about 1700hrs, the Command tactical team based at Dikko junction in collaboration with FIB squad, during a sting operation at Dikko arrested one Umar Shehu aged 31yrs ‘m’ of Bakori, Funtua LGA of Katsina State.

The suspect was arrested at Dikko Junction, Gurara LGA based on a credible intelligence, having identified and suspected him as a notorious arms dealer who supplies arms/ammunition to different bandits’ camps in Katsina, Kaduna and Niger State.

During interrogation, he confessed to have supplied arms and ammunition to bandits in Madaki forest Katsina, Ganai camp in Maidaro forest Kaduna and a syndicate member terrorizing Kwamba/Maje area of Suleja.

He confessed further to have purchased arms from Abdulmani ‘m’ of Taraba State who was neutralized in Kaduna by FIB squad early this year. He claimed that he got one hundred thousand naira from every 500 ammunition he delivered to any bandit’s camp. Case under investigation.

ARREST OF AN ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE

On 21/08/2022 at about 0800hrs, Police operatives attached to Tafa Division arrested one Emeka Umerah aged 39yrs ‘m’ of Onitsha Anambra State while driving a Toyota Camry vehicle with Reg. No. RBC 723 BH.

The suspect was arrested along Abuja-Kaduna road, at Sabon-Wuse area of Tafa LGA with the said vehicle and during interrogation, he confessed to have conspired with two others, one Uzor and Ego both presently at large to rob a victim at Garam village, Dogon-Kurmi Ward of Tafa LGA on 20/08/2022 at about 0200hrs.

He claimed that he was taking the vehicle to Kaduna for sale to one Zakari Kaura ‘m’ of Kaduna State. Case is under investigation as effort is ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate and the receiver.

ARREST OF FRAUDSTERS SYNDICATE

On 04/09/2022 at about 0820hrs, Police operatives attached to SIB Minna, through technical intelligence arrested four (4) notorious fraudsters at Shango area of Minna who specialized in defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.

The four (4) suspects arrested are:-
-Aliyu Mohammed (Ali Kanka) 48yrs
-Muazu Mohammed 52yrs both ‘m’ of Kontagora
-Shehu Abubakar 35yrs
-Isyaku Ahmadu 45yrs both ‘m’ of Maikunkele, Bosso.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects made a phone call and lured a victim who resides at Sauka-Kahuta Minna, informing him that the caller is a spirit (Aljannu) and ordered the victim to open a bank account, get a new sim card and drop the account details with the sim card at a location in Minna for the victim to get financial assistance from the spirit. 

The suspects subsequently use the account details to defraud another victim from building materials market of the sum of 1.3 million naira through a fraudulent business transaction. Suspects arrested, case is under investigation. 

All suspects will be arraigned in court for diligent prosecution immediately after investigation is concluded.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Niger State Command CP Monday Bala Kuryas, fsi wishes to reassure members of the public that the Command will not relent in the fight against crime and criminality towards a better secured environment in the State while he equally admonished residents and Nigerlites to be wary of fraudsters and avoid unrealistic returns of money without any legal investment.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
