 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. The Anambra State Police Command today 11/9/2022 wishes to let the members of the public know especially Ndi Anambra that, the deployment of police operatives yesterday 10/9/2022 within the residence of Augustine Ndigwe in Awka, is to make sure there is no break down of law and order in Awka Community. This is following information of the intended celebration/occasion that poses threat to public peace/disturbance in the community. 

Meanwhile, one Mr Nwokoye that led the attack on police officers is in custody with five others. The suspects have been transferred to State Criminal investigations department for investigations. The situation is being monitored and further development shall be communicated please

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
