 EASTER SECURITY ASSESSMENT: ANAMBRA POLICE EXPRESS CONCERN OVER MASKED SECURITY PERSONNEL PROTECTING VIPs, WARN OF SECURITY RISKS The Anambra State Police Command has expressed serious concern over the growing trend of some security operatives concealing their identities while providing protection to Very Important Personalities (VIPs) within the State. The Command notes that while security duties often require tactical discretion, the act of masking identities without proper authorization raises significant security concerns. Such practices, it observed, not only pose a potential threat to public safety but also undermine trust, accountability, and the integrity of inter-agency collaboration. THE INCIDENT WITHIN THE RESIDENCE OF AUGUSTINE NDIGWE IN AWKA


The Anambra State Police Command today 11/9/2022 wishes to let the members of the public know especially Ndi Anambra that, the deployment of police operatives yesterday 10/9/2022 within the residence of Augustine Ndigwe in Awka, is to make sure there is no break down of law and order in Awka Community. This is following information of the intended celebration/occasion that poses threat to public peace/disturbance in the community. 

Meanwhile, one Mr Nwokoye that led the attack on police officers is in custody with five others. The suspects have been transferred to State Criminal investigations department for investigations. The situation is being monitored and further development shall be communicated please

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
