 Portable apologises to Saheed Osupa, shows off new look after release Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly tendered an apology to Fuji music icon, Saheed Osupa, following his recent arrest and brief remand in a correctional facility. Beauty products Earlier this week, Portable was arrested by the Kwara State Police Command over allegations including criminal defamation, threat to life, incitement, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. The charges stemmed from a series of online statements he made about the veteran Fuji singer. Troops frustrate bandits along Kaduna-Zaria road, neutralize two. 

Troops of the Nigerian Army repelled armed bandits around the Fondisho general area, along the Kaduna-Zaria road in Igabi local government. 

In an operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, it was revealed that the troops, responding quickly to credible intelligence, set up an ambush position at the location. 

On entering the area, the bandits sprang the ambush and came under intense fire as they were stoutly repelled by the troops. Two of the criminals were thus neutralized. 

The Kaduna State Government received the feedback with satisfaction, and praised the troops for their swiftness in responding to intelligence reports. 

The Government conveyed its appreciation to the troops and other security forces, while encouraging them to sustain the determined efforts to rout all criminal elements. 

Since many of the bandits escaped with gunshot wounds, the Government hereby appeals to communities in the general area to report any questionable persons seeking medical attention. The security operations room can be reached on 09034000060 and 08170189999.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
