 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. BOY MISTAKENLY KILLED BY HIS BROTHER WHILE TESTING A BULLETPROOF CHARM IN KWARA 


A twelve-year-old boy, Yusuf Abubakar died from gunshot wounds after his elder brother tested the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm (voodoo).

 A statement by the Kwara State Police command spokesperson Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin said on Sunday a report was received at Kaiama police station about the killing of 12 years old Yusuf Abubakar by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar.

Okansanmi Ajayi disclosed that both boys are children of one Abubakar Abubakar a hunter in Dutse Gogo town in Kaiama Kwara State.

The spokesperson said that the incident occurred during the process of testing the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm by the brothers.

The Kwara State police spokesman confirmed that after the children had fortified themselves with the charm, the elder son brought his father’s dane gun and shot his younger sibling to see if he will be immune to the shot.

Police added that the charm failed and the 12year old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot.
