 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. BOY MISTAKENLY KILLED BY HIS BROTHER WHILE TESTING A BULLETPROOF CHARM IN KWARA 


A twelve-year-old boy, Yusuf Abubakar died from gunshot wounds after his elder brother tested the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm (voodoo).

 A statement by the Kwara State Police command spokesperson Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin said on Sunday a report was received at Kaiama police station about the killing of 12 years old Yusuf Abubakar by his elder brother, Abubakar Abubakar.

Okansanmi Ajayi disclosed that both boys are children of one Abubakar Abubakar a hunter in Dutse Gogo town in Kaiama Kwara State.

The spokesperson said that the incident occurred during the process of testing the efficacy of a newly procured gunshot protective charm by the brothers.

The Kwara State police spokesman confirmed that after the children had fortified themselves with the charm, the elder son brought his father’s dane gun and shot his younger sibling to see if he will be immune to the shot.

Police added that the charm failed and the 12year old Yusuf Abubakar died on the spot.
