 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Era Of Schools Without Quality Teachers To End In Anambra Soon- Governor Soludo 



Governor Chukwuma Soludo has assured to end schools without teachers in Anambra State with the ongoing recruitment of about 5000 qualified teachers. 

He said the recruitment will improve quality of teaching and learning in Anambra schools.

Governor Soludo gave the assurance while inaugurating the board of Post Primary School Service Commission Chaired by Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu.

Governor Soludo who performed the function at the Governor's Lodge Amawbia, stated that quality, competitive and affordable education is at the heart of building a livable and prosperous Anambra.

Emphasizing that Anambra schools will have the best of teachers in few weeks, Governor Soludo charged the board to implement their mandate with vision to build an education system that can compete favorably anywhere in the world.

With much emphasis on quality of teachers and teaching, Governor Soludo said that the future of the state depends largely on the human resources available to drive development which quality education especially at the basics has much to contribute.

The Chairperson and Chief Executive officer of the board, Professor Ikediugwu in her speech promised effectiveness and efficiency as is expected of them.

The Deputy Governor Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim among other top government functionaries were present at the event.
