 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Governor Soludo Receives Anambra Teachers Who Won Presidential Awards

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has said that teaching is a vocation that requires passion and commitment.

Governor Soludo said this while receiving five Anambra teachers that won the 2022 President's Teachers, Schools Excellence Award in different categories.

Noting that teaching job requires sacrifice, Governor Soludo emphasized that the quality of teachers and teaching determines the future of any society.

He described the awardees as role models and tasked them with more dedication.

Governor Soludo while congratulating them, said that Anambra state is raising a digital tribe that will be useful at home and abroad and assured greater commitment from the state government in rebranding Anambra's education sector.

For the Commissioner of Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Anambra education sector Education system will be transformed under Governor Soludo.

She noted that for Anambra to achieve skilled education which the state is moving towards, the best of teachers is needed and urged other teachers in the state to emulate the awardees.

Winners of the Presidential Award from Anambra State include: Chukwunedu Sabina Ijeoma of Abbott Girls Secondary School, Ihiala who emerged the overall best administrator, public schools, Ugokwe Marilyn Uchenna of Susu College Nkpor who was the overall best teacher in private schools, junior secondary category, Ifetike Chekwube Hope of Government Technical College Onitsha who came home as first runner up, best teacher public schools, Senior secondary category and Onyemaechi Pius Chiedu of Federal Government Girls College Nkwelle Ezunaka who emerged second runner up, Federal Unity Colleges best teacher while Nigerian Science and Technical College, Nnewi got first runner up best public schools category, junior secondary.

Chief of staff Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Commissioner for Culture and Entertainment, Mr Don Onyenji, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Christian Aburime, among others were present at the event held at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia
