 Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has approved 100 hectares of land within the Abia Airport Project Site for the Nigerian Air Force to build its training base in Abia State. The Nigeria Air Force had requested an expansion of the 50 hectares of land already earmarked for its training base at the Abia Airport Project Site.  Governor Otti gave the approval on Tuesday, March 10th, in his office while receiving a delegation of the Nigeria Air Force (NAF), Ground Training Command led by the Commander, Air Vice Marshal Adebayo Gabriel Kehinde, who called on him. "The partnership is such that Abia State Government is handling the runway, and the Federal Government is handling the Airport Terminal.  "We expect the runway to be ready very soon. HON OBINABO TO PARTNER NGOZI EZEONU, EBERE OKARO-ONYIUKE ON GIRL CHILD SENSITIZATION AND ENLIGHTENMENT.

The honorable Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Hon. Ify. Obinabo has assured of partnership with veteran movie actors on ways to promote women and girls through the movie industry.

This she revealed in her office in Awka during an interface with the movie stars. 

Speaking with Veteran Ngozi Ezeonu and Ebere Okaro-Onyiuke, Hon. Obinabo assured them of her readiness in partnering with the movie industry where plights of women and children would be thoroughly projected thereby sensitizing the world on the rights of women and children.

Earlier, while speaking, the screen goddesses explained that their purpose of visit is to collaborate with the Women and Social Welfare Ministry in enlightening members of the public and the world by extension, laws protecting women through their profession.
