 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down. IGBOS HAVE CAPACITY TO RULE NIGERIA - GOV. ORTOM



The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has express confidence in the Igbo people, saying they have potentials to rule Nigeria if given the opportunity.

The governor, who made the expression in Makurdi, the state capital, on Wednesday when Igbo PDP Forum paid him a courtesy visit, said the South-Easterners are accommodating and hard working.

According to Ortom, the Igbos are peaceful, stressing that they have the ability to live with other ethnic groups in the country.

He vowed to continue speaking to authority on the incessant attacks on Benue people by suspected armed herdsmen.

“The Igbo are accommodating and hard working. They are a group that can live with other ethnic groups and not like those that are killing my people and they want me to keep quiet.

“I will never keep quiet concerning incessant attacks on my people by herdsmen until the authorities do the right thing. I will continue to speak against injustice,” he said.
