HE WHO LACKS CHARACTER CANNOT SPEAK OF DEFAMATION
The wrong impression sold out by the ousted PDP-led administration of Hon. Emeka Ihedioha on the 2019 Imo Governorship landmark Judgement by the Supreme Court, has been clarified by the Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba, during his appearance today on Arise Television.
In the Commissioner's submission, it's important to understand that the 388 polling unit results were tendered at and admitted by the Tribunal. It's a common knowledge that courts of higher jurisdiction act based on evidences admitted by lower courts. It's over two years since the landmark judgement, Emeka Ihedioha ought to maintain the golden silence instead of weeping up sentiment when there is non.
Hon. Emeka Ihedioha's character was self-battered when he clinged on to a position he knew he never won having failed to satisfy the statutory requirements to be declared winner in an election. His character was self-battered when he resorted to constantly discredit the wisdom and intelligence of members of the Supreme Court. His character was self-battered since he began to disparage the entire Imolites.
Therefore, it's only honorable for him to apologize to Ndi Imo and Ndi Igbo over his involvement in and sponsorship of insecurity in Imo State and by extension, the entire south east. His confessionary statement in the leaked phone conversation has vindicated the Governor Hope Uzodimma-led Shared Prosperity administration.
