 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. KING CHARLES BECOMES THE CAPTAIN GENERAL OF THE ROYAL MARINES AS THEY CELEBRATE THEIR 358TH BIRTHDAY TODAY.(PHOTOS).

Today as the Royal Marines celebrate their 358th birthday The King has become their new Captain General.

Founded in 1664 during the reign of King Charles II, the corps are widely acknowledged as one of the world’s elite fighting forces. His Majesty trained and served alongside the Royal Marines during his Naval career.

In a personal message to the Royal Marines, The King said:

“It is the greatest possible pleasure to assume the role of your Captain General.  I am exceptionally proud to follow in the footsteps of so many members of my family over the last three and a half centuries, all of whom held the role with a deep sense of admiration. 

“The Royal Marines have a distinguished and unparalleled history, both on land and at sea. I draw immense inspiration from your courage, determination, self-discipline and a remarkable capacity to endure in the most extreme environments.

“I feel greatly honoured to become part of the Corps Family and very much look forward to meeting many of you in the near future. In the meantime, this comes with my heartfelt and special wishes for a very happy 358th birthday.
