 OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: TROOPS ARREST TERRORIST COLLABORATORS, DESTROY ENCLAVES IN KADUNA, KATSINA STATES Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA recorded further operational successes in Kaduna and Katsina States, arresting suspected terrorist collaborators, intercepting weapons and ammunition, as well as destroying identified terrorist enclaves during separate operations conducted on 27 and 28 August 2026. On 27 August 2026, troops of Sector 1 acted on information regarding the apprehension of a suspected terrorist collaborator in Kaduna State. The suspect was found in possession of 2 locally fabricated guns and 13 rounds of ammunition concealed in a bag. During preliminary investigation, the suspect disclosed that he had been tasked to deliver the weapons and ammunition to another individual. Attention of the Office of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has been drawn to an online picture of an individual captioned “ The Lagos State Deputy Governor’s son Femi Hamzat, joins the obidient rally in support of Peter Obi” which has gone viral on the social media.

For the avoidance of doubt, the gentleman in the displayed photograph is neither the Deputy Governor's son nor his relative.

The viral message is another mischievous, false and malicious attempt to cause friction between the Deputy Governor and his admirers and loyalists across the Nation.

Dr. Hamzat has a reputation of commitment and loyalty to the Sanwo-Olu led administration and the All Progressives Congress. His support is for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima. Our party and all our supporters are working hard to ensure that our candidates get the votes of Nigerians. Ours is not about bogus statistics and lies. 

Any attempt to denigrate his character by spewing falsehood about his family will remain a vain and futile attempt until eternity.

Supporters of the Labour Party should get serious with their campaigns and desist from cheap tactics that would not yield any political gains.

We hope that Nigerians will detect these tendencies to deceive and see it for what it is. It is too late in the day to keep lying to Nigerians. It won't work.
