 UK secondary schools will start screening Netflix’s hit show Adolescence as part of a government-sponsored program to teach students about the dangers of misogyny.  The show, praised for its sensitive portrayal of complex issues, will be used in classrooms to spark discussions about harmful online influences. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who watched the series with his teenage children, said it was a powerful tool to help young people navigate modern challenges. Starmer emphasized the importance of addressing the content young people consume and the conversations they have with their peers. He stated that by listening to young people and charities, society can better understand and tackle the issues raised in the show. Missing INEC Staff Found Dead In Anambra

A staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Duruocha Joel, has been found dead in Anambra State.

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

He said Duruocha’s body was dumped by unknown persons and found on Thursday along the Isu-Aniocha-Urum Road in Awka North Local Government Area.

According to Okoye, INEC’s Administrative Secretary in Anambra State, Okwuonu Jude, reported on Wednesday about the disappearance of Joel.

“On Wednesday, 28th September 2022, the Commission’s Administrative Secretary in Anambra State, Mr. Okwuonu Jude, reported the disappearance of a staff, Mr Duruocha Osita Joel, a Principal Executive Officer II on Grade Level 10,” the statement read.

“On Thursday, 29th September, the Administrative Secretary further informed the Commission that Mr Duruocha Joel’s dead body was found along Isu-Aniocha-Urum road in the Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, where unknown persons dumped him.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
