 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. Peter Obi Reacts As LP Zonal Chairman Dies In Kaduna Auto Crash

Labour Party Chairman, Peter Obi, has mourned the passing of one of the party’s Zonal Chairmen in Kaduna State, Mallam Lawal Garba.

Garba lost his life in a fatal auto crash along the Kaduna-Zaria road on Monday.

He was on his way back from the party’s engagement with Northern stakeholders in Arewa House, Kaduna, on Monday.

Reacting, Peter Obi in a tweet on Tuesday expressed shock over his death and prayed that his soul rests in peace.

”I’m shocked by the news of the sudden and tragic death of Mallam Lawal Garba last night in a fatal vehicular accident. Mallam Garba was in attendance at the Arewa House interactive session.

”His death is a huge loss to his family, the Labour Party family in Kaduna State and the Kaduna people.

”I pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and that God Almighty will grant his family the fortitude to bear this huge loss.”
