 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. PHOTOS: Obi visits Ortom in Benue over flood

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, recently, paid a visit to the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom.

Sharing photos from his visit on his Twitter handle, he captioned the photos, “I called on HE #GovSamuelOrtom to commiserate with him on the ravages of the floods in Benue State resulting in high loss of lives, property and farmlands and massive displacement.

“I informed him of my intent to visit some of the affected areas and discussed how we as presidential candidates can assist affected states. I recalled that in 2012, Benue, Anambra and others were similarly affected and the FGN and Nigerians rallied in support of flood victims, especially the IDPs. -PO.”

 Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her. Namtira said if the school authorities fail to sanction the student bullies within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter, she would seek immediate and severe legal redress against the school.
