South Korean police seek arrest warrant for Hybe chairman Bang Si-Hyuk over alleged $100 million investor fraud scheme    South Korean police are seeking an arrest warrant for Bang Si-Hyuk, the billionaire music executive behind K-pop powerhouse Hybe and BTS, as part of an expanding investigation into allegations that he improperly benefited from an investor scheme involving more than $100 million. Police to Sobi FM: You're A Fake News Peddler

Kwara State Police Command's attention was drawn to a facebook account owned by Sobi Fm 101.9 termed 'Breaking news' to the effect that the newly posted Commissioner of Police Kwara State, CP Paul Odama psc(+) who assumed Office barely a month ago has been redeployed by the Inspector-General of Police, over what they claimed was the consequences of the police actions in the recent case of the Akogun two.

The Command wishes to state that the story is a figment of the imagination and sadistic wish of the radio station, which of cause is false and fake in it's entirety.

The Command wishes to state that CP. Paul Odama psc (+) was posted to Kwara State on provisional bases pending the sitting and approval of the Police Service Commission (PSC). This they did last week and the list of newly promoted officers and the ratification of the posting of hitherto posted police Commissioners, including those of Kwara, Nassarawa and Niger states were confirmed. This development necessitated the press release by the Force Headquarters about the posting of new Commissioners of police in the above mentioned states.

Rather than creating tensions and apprehensions in the minds of good people of Kwara State who are already enjoying the policing services of Cp Paul Odama, it is pertinent to state in an unambiguous terms that, fake news is a criminal offence, especially if it was aimed at causing fear and anxiety and to score cheap points.
The police Command would continue to work in partnership with relevant agencies including the Press for a safer and more protected Kwara state.

Finally the command wishes to state that the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, CP Paul Odama psc (+) remains the commissioner of police in Kwara State, the publics are advised to go about their lawful businesses, the CP is ready now than ever to do the needful to keep Kwara safe and peaceful with the support of all and sundry.
