 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. SECURITY: Governor Bello Flags Off Exercise Enduring Peace II 

Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello on Tuesday flagged off “Exercise Enduring Peace II” at Owunoh community along Ajaokuta-Okene road, Okene Local Government of the state. 

Governor Bello assured the commander and personnel of “Exercise Enduring Peace” of his administration’s support in ensuring a successful operation. He charged the personnel to treat criminals with equal punishment without gender, religious and party discrimination. 

During the ceremony, Governor Bello commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his support for the Nigerian Armed Forces in achieving a lasting peace for the country. 

Bello also extended his commendation to the Chief of Army Staff , Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya, heads and personnel of other security agencies for their efforts in securing the nation. 

During the ceremony, the representative of the Chief of Army Staff and Commander, Command Army Records, Chari Maigumeri Barracks, Major General Sunday I. Igbinomwanhia disclosed that the exercise was to consolidate and build on the existing peace in the state. While seeking further cooperation from the people, Major General I. Igbinomwanhia commended Governor Bello for been ruthless to the criminals in the state with assurances of sustaining the onslaught against enemies of the state in whatever names. 

Exercise Enduring Peace II is a joint task force comprises of the Army, Naval, Police, Civil Defence, Immigration, Customs and vigilante personnel.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
