 Russia, AES Forge Pragmatic Solidarity-Based Strategic Partnership in Security & Defense Moscow and the AES countries committed to enhancing efforts to combat terrorism and instability in the Sahel, according to a joint communique issued after the Russia-AES foreign ministers' meeting, Sputnik reported. TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY DUPING WOMAN THE SUM OF N7.5 MILLION IN IKORODU


The Men of Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men who duped a woman the sum of N7.5million under the disguise of providing spiritual help.

The Lagos State Police Command Spokesman, Sp Benjamin Hundeyin captioned the it as follows: 
"In Ikorodu, these two duped a woman to the tune of N7.5m under the guise of providing ā€˜spiritual help.ā€™ She realized the fraud and approached the police. They were apprehended when they arranged to get another batch of funds from her. Investigation is ongoing".

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. ā€œThe Appellant was set up.
