 Israeli strikes kill Hezbollah militant, two others in Lebanon Lebanon reported two dead in separate Israeli strikes on the country’s south Wednesday, as Israel’s military said it had killed a Hezbollah operative, despite a ceasefire between the two sides. A “drone strike launched by the Israeli enemy on a vehicle in Wadi al-Hujair killed one person”, Lebanon’s health ministry said in a statement, referring to an area around 12 kilometres (seven miles) from the border. It later said a separate Israeli strike in Hanin, elsewhere in the south near the border, “killed one person and wounded another”. The Israeli military said its air force “struck and eliminated” a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force in the Qantara area, near Wadi al-Hujair. Israel has continued to strike Lebanon since the November 27 ceasefire that largely halted more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah, including two months of all-out war. Anambra Based Pastor Surprises Workers and Members with Cars and Scholarship

Senior Pastor of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly, aka City Of Transformation Pastor Sam Obiorah has gifted some of his workers with brand new cars in Anambra State.

Pastor Obiora who is well known for his philanthropic work also awarded scholarships to more than 10 members of his church.

Speaking to newsmen, one of the beneficiaries of his kind gesture, Engr Udoka Udeagha described Pastor Obiora as a kind-hearted man who has touched the lives of many people.

According to him, “I have known Pastor Obiora for years now, this is not the first time he is touching the lives of people.”

“We are happy for his good gesture towards his workers and members of his church”.

“We pray for good health so that he will continue touching the lives of people,” he said.

Another member of the church and a beneficiary of his car gift, Pastor Joshua Okumefuna Ifechukwu said Pastor Obiora apart from sharing cars to his workers has also given free accommodations to some members of his church.

He appreciated the Pastor’s kind gesture and prayed for God’s blessings and grace to continue healing the sick, etc.

Some other members of his church also testified of the free accommodations and health care service the pastor had provided for them and confirmed that the pastor started his humanitarian work even when he was still an undergraduate.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
