 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. Anambra Based Pastor Surprises Workers and Members with Cars and Scholarship

Senior Pastor of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly, aka City Of Transformation Pastor Sam Obiorah has gifted some of his workers with brand new cars in Anambra State.

Pastor Obiora who is well known for his philanthropic work also awarded scholarships to more than 10 members of his church.

Speaking to newsmen, one of the beneficiaries of his kind gesture, Engr Udoka Udeagha described Pastor Obiora as a kind-hearted man who has touched the lives of many people.

According to him, “I have known Pastor Obiora for years now, this is not the first time he is touching the lives of people.”

“We are happy for his good gesture towards his workers and members of his church”.

“We pray for good health so that he will continue touching the lives of people,” he said.

Another member of the church and a beneficiary of his car gift, Pastor Joshua Okumefuna Ifechukwu said Pastor Obiora apart from sharing cars to his workers has also given free accommodations to some members of his church.

He appreciated the Pastor’s kind gesture and prayed for God’s blessings and grace to continue healing the sick, etc.

Some other members of his church also testified of the free accommodations and health care service the pastor had provided for them and confirmed that the pastor started his humanitarian work even when he was still an undergraduate.
