 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. AUSTRALIA: POLICE RELEASED CCTV IMAGES OF THREE MEN WHO MAYBE ABLE TO ASSIST POLICE FOLLOWING A BRAWL IN THE SYDNEY SYDNEY CBD LAST FRIDAY. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE.


Police have released CCTV images of three men who maybe able to assist police following a brawl in the Sydney CBD last Friday. 

About 10pm (5 November 2022), officers from Sydney City Police Area Command responded to reports of a brawl at a shopping centre in Darling Harbour involving two groups of males. 

One of the groups left the scene prior to police arrival and were last seen running towards Tumbalong Park.

A number of people in the second group suffered minor injuries and were spoken to by police at the scene.

As investigations into the incident continue, police have released CCTV images of three men who may be able to assist with the investigation. 

The men are all described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged between 25 and 30-years-old.  

The first man is described as being of slim build, about 185cm tall, with a goatee and moustache. He was wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and white shoes.

The second man is described as being of medium build, about 180cm tall, and with a sleeve tattoo on his left arm. 

He was wearing a white hat, a white T-shirt with the initials ‘CK’ across the chest, blue jeans, white shoes and a white jumper with ‘Hoodrich’ across his waist.

The third man is described as being of slim build and about 180cm tall. He was wearing a white T-shirt with ‘Alpinestar’ across the chest, a black jumper, blue jeans and white shoes.
