 FG MOVES TO CUT EDUCATION COSTS, PROMOTE SUSTAINABILITY WITH REUSABLE TEXTBOOK POLICY The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled a comprehensive policy framework aimed at reducing the cost of education for parents, improving learning outcomes, and promoting sustainability in schools through the adoption of reusable, high-quality textbooks and strengthened quality assurance mechanisms. The policy, jointly issued by the Honourable Minister of Education  Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa and the Honourable Minister of State for Education Prof Suiwaba Sai'd, forms part of ongoing reforms to reposition Nigeria’s education sector and ease the financial burden on families. The Ministers explained that the policy prioritises the use of standardised, durable textbooks designed to last between four and six years, while expressly prohibiting the bundling of disposable workbooks with textbooks in schools. Bayelsa Blogger Isaac N. Esule Who Was Arrested and Charged to Court For Publishing Video on IDP Camp Has Been Released.

It was reported that Mr. Isaac owner of an online media platform 'BAYELSA LIVE' interviewed a man who is a flood displaced person in one of the IDP camps in Bayelsa which the video went viral.

In the video the man alleged that they being flogged with canes like children because of food and they are not being treated well. All though several persons in the oxbow lake IDP camp who were interviewed also commended the the state Government and the Management of the IDP camp.

His friend comr Atti J Moses noted that the offense which led to the arrest was the video the young man published. "The particular person criticised the management which got them offended and this prompted him to delete the publication and also went to the IDP camp to apologise to the woman in charge and he was arrested last week Monday while apologising .

"His whereabout was not known to friends and family till Wednesday when we found out that he was being taking to anti kidnapp of the Bayelsa State Police Command , His mother also came from the village to join others in apologising to the Woman in charge of the IDP for an offence he committed not , it was just a public opinion carried out by his media platform, there was no defamation of character or Cyber stalking. 

"Moving further he was granted bail on Friday after being asked to make a personal video again apologising to the woman and refuting the publication which he did and after doing the needful and going home in Jubilation with friends and family along road safety Junction we were intercepted by the OC Legal and the OC Kidnapping with a Private vehicle asking Isaac N. Esule alone to enter the vehicle and follow them to the IDP Camp to thank the Lady for granting him bail, his mother also attempted entering the car but she was denied, the rest of us alongside his mother went to oxbow lake to join him in thanking her only to find out that he was taking to court by the OC Legal , claiming that he was not properly informed of the bail and he has already registered the case in court.

The Prosecutor who Doubles as the OC Legal Pressed Charges that He should be remanded him okaka , to enable further investigation but the Magistrate gave her Judgement that Isaac Esule has no business in court now cause he was just granted bail , and his offence is not a murder , armed robbery or serious crime that should warrant him being taking to okaka to enable further investigation cuz the charges are Cyberstalking which bail has already been granted. He was Granted bail the second time with condition of a one million Naira bail bond and Surety under the Verification of the OC Legal , and in the cause of meeting up with the requirements he was being taking to okaka and thereafter to state CID, and after we were able to fulfil all requirements, the OC Legal raised another issue that the person we used as Surety has unsettled matters with him and that we should bring another suttee which we did but as we speak Isaac Esule is still in State CID.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
