Michael Douglas was joined by his daughter Carys as he received a special honour in Mallorca, Spain. The 81-year-old actor attended a gala on August 3, where he was named one of the first Terra d’Honor ambassadors, a distinction created by Mallorca’s government to recognise individuals who have helped highlight the island’s identity and culture. Douglas arrived at the event with Carys, 23, whom he shares with actress Catherine Zeta-Jones. The ceremony was held at the Costa Nord cultural and educational centre in Valldemossa, a facility Douglas founded. Court Remands Medical Doctor for N8.5m Fraud

Justice P. Ayua of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has remand a Medical Doctor, Okeogene Rawlings Godwin in the Port Harcourt Correctional Service for obtaining money by false pretence contrary Section 1 (1) (a) and punishable under section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related offences Act.

He was remanded after pleading "not guilty" to a five count charge preferred against him and his Company, Rhurrs Limited, upon being arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Port Harcourt Zonal Command on Monday November 21, 2022.
