 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. Court Sends APC Chairman To Jail Over Illegal Possession Of PVCs



A Kano Magistrate court presided over by Faroukh Ibrahim Umar has sentenced the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yautar ward, Aminu Ali, to two years imprisonment for unlawful possession of 367 permanent voters cards (PVCs) bearing different names, according to Daily Trust report.

Ali was in October arrested for collecting PVCs from different people in Gabasawa Local Government Area of the state and that he conspired with some members of his party to commit the offence.

The court sentenced the convict after he pleaded guilty to the two-count charge, which contravened section 22 (a) of the Electoral Act, 2022 as amended.

However, the magistrate gave the convict an option of N500,000 fine for the first offence.
