 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. KING CHARLES LED THE NATION FOR THE ANNUAL REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY. (PHOTOS).


The King today led the nation for the annual #RemembranceSunday commemorations at the National Service at the Cenotaph. In a tradition started by King George V in 1920, who unveiled the Cenotaph, His Majesty laid a wreath at the Cenotaph.

Wreaths were also laid The Prince of Wales, The Earl of Wessex and The Princess Royal. A wreath was laid on behalf of The Queen Consort, who joined The Princess of Wales, The Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Sir Tim Laurence to watch the service from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office balcony.

A tradition of every Remembrance Sunday is the Royal British Legion March Past of 10,000 Veterans - this year The Earl of Wessex took the salute.
